Trauma counseling is aimed at the psychic stabilization of victims of violence as well as accident victims. The objective is to control the symptoms of traumatization in such a way that the everyday life, whether job-related or private, can be managed. The consultant can be understood as an intermediate stage before or during therapy.
As the head of several successfully completed stabilization seminars for sexually abused women, which took part in context of the association “Frauen gegen Gewalt e.V.” (“Women against Violence e.V.”), I have gained extensive experience in dealing with traumatized victims. Furthermore, since 2009, I advise concerned parties on the psychosocial sector.
Trauma counseling is not (yet) financed as a service by health insurances. An hour of counseling costs 75,00 EUR.
The association “Weißer Ring e.V.” helps people who need assistance in coping with an act of violence. Within this framework, a so-called “trauma check” can be issued which includes the costs for two hours of counseling.
Trauma counseling combined with legal advice
Furthermore, if that is what you desire, trauma counseling can be combined with legal actions. For example, the representation of the victim during the criminal proceedings in court can be agreed upon. Nevertheless, trauma counseling can also be isolated from all legal services.
However, all of this will only be decided after consulting with you. Most of all it should be emphasized that I am bound by professional discretion.
